This Privacy Policy describes how GIGDATA LLC ("SiteDialect," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use sitedialect.com and our translation services.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account information: Your name, email address, and password when you create an account.
- Website URL: The domain name and URLs of pages you register for translation.
- Translated page content: We fetch and translate the HTML content of your web pages to provide the translation service.
- Usage data: Pages viewed, features used, and general interaction data collected via privacy-respecting analytics.
- Payment information: Billing details are collected and processed directly by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number.
1b. Information Collected from End Users
When the SiteDialect translation widget loads on a customer's website, we may process certain end-user data to deliver the translation service. This includes:
- IP addresses (used solely for language and region detection)
- Browser type and version
- Language preferences
- Page URLs being translated
This data is processed solely to deliver accurate translations and is not used for tracking, profiling, or advertising purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve our translation services.
- To cache translated content for faster delivery to your site visitors.
- To process payments and manage your subscription.
- To communicate with you about your account, service updates, and support requests.
- To improve translation quality and develop new features.
- To send you service-related communications, product announcements, and occasional marketing emails. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy governs how they handle your payment data.
- Cloudflare: Content delivery network (CDN) and DDoS protection. Cloudflare may process request metadata such as IP addresses.
- AI-Signed: Privacy-respecting analytics to understand how visitors use our site.
- Anthropic: AI translation processing. Your website content is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for translation. Anthropic's usage policy governs how they handle data sent through their API.
4. Cookies
We use session cookies to maintain your authentication state when you log in. These cookies are:
- HTTP-only and secure (not accessible via JavaScript).
- Set with the SameSite=Lax attribute to prevent cross-site request forgery.
- Expire after 7 days of inactivity.
We do not use third-party tracking cookies.
4b. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
We process your personal data under the following legal bases:
- Contractual necessity: To provide the translation service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interest: To improve our services, ensure security, and send relevant communications.
- Consent: Where required, such as for marketing emails to EU recipients.
- Legal obligation: To comply with applicable laws and regulations.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account information and translated content for as long as your account is active. Cached translations are retained to provide fast delivery. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data and cached translations within 30 days.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS), secure session management, and access controls.
7. Your Rights

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following rights:

7b. Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration. We have not sold personal information in the preceding 12 months.
7c. Marketing Communications
We may send you marketing or promotional emails about our services. Every marketing email we send includes a clear unsubscribe link. We honor all opt-out requests within 10 business days. You may also opt out of marketing communications at any time by emailing privacy@sitedialect.com.
7d. International Data Transfers
We are based in the United States. If you are located outside the US, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and other appropriate safeguards to ensure adequate protection for international data transfers in compliance with GDPR.
7e. Data Processing Agreement
Business customers who require a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) for GDPR compliance may request one by contacting legal@sitedialect.com.
